Ambo chair (Ethiopia)

Old and rare Ambo chair (Ethiopia), probably of Coptic priest. It is composed of several parts assembled by mortises and tenons and by some nails. It has only one arm which was also often the use. The backrest is particularly interesting because of the geometrical patterns that decorate it, the uprights are also engraved with drawings like those found on some magic scrolls. Wood with beautiful patina of use. Height of the seat : 31 cm, total height : 53 cm, width : 47 cm.
