Ancient Ashanti (Ghana) head in terracotta. Round and flat face in the style of the "Akuaba" dolls well known to the Ashanti. The base in the form of a rod was to allow burial in the ground, this type of object was probably used for funeral rites. Height : 11,5 cm. Sold without base.
