Bamileke stool (Cameroon)

Ancient Bamileke stool (Cameroon), dense wood with a beautiful patina of use. It represents a leopard standing on its legs (royal symbol in the Bamileke chiefdoms). This object (entirely monoxyl) had to be owned by a village chief. Patina and wear show a significant use. Visible slit on the left side of the animal. Height: 40 cm, diameter: 33 cm.
