Old Dogon statuette (Mali), representing a standing figure with arms bent along the body, head slightly turned to the right. Interesting and rare hairstyle in the shape of a bun in four parts. Beautiful proportions (small bent legs, long bust, and very long arms) which give this sculpture a lot of rhythm. Some lacks and wears due to this important antiquity: headdress, right arm, as well as the right ear, which in no way detracts from the beauty of this statue. Dense wood, beautiful patina of use. Height: 41.5 cm. Former Parisian collection.
