Interesting and ancient Igbo "Ikenga" (Nigeria), representing a head decorated with horns (symbol of power). The face is richly decorated with scarifications in the form of squares, as well as the horns. The base is semi-spherical and openworked with four geometrical motifs. The patina on the whole object is grey and crusty (sacrificial patina), some remains of white clay. Crack at the base visible on the pictures. An Ikenga of this style is listed in the collection of the Brooklyn museum (see link).
