Rare chair from the region of Jimma (Ethiopia) whose back fits into the lower part.  Both parts fit perfectly and are therefore original (which is rarely the case). Nice clean shape of the backrest with a half-moon top, small hole visible on the pictures, leather strap on the lower part. Well curved and comfortable seat, small restoration in the middle. Dense wood with a nice patina of use. For an example of this type see page 48 of the book (n°84) "Ethiopia, objets d'Ethiopie" from the museum of Tervuren. Height : 96 cm, width : 47,5 cm, length : 76 cm, height of the seat : 29 cm.
