Ancient Songye scepter or neighboring people (D.R. Congo), representing three heads including a Janus surmounting a closed hand.
Very beautiful symmetrical and balanced composition showing the mastery of the sculptor. The heads of the upper part are identical except for the headdresses. At the top of these two heads a hole has been drilled to place a magic charge or a metal point, the single head also has a hole filled by a magic charge. Wood with a patina of use, height : 24 cm.
