Ancient Zande male statuette (Central African Republic/Congo), very interesting by its beautiful stylization. It represents a standing figure, without arms or just indicated by two engraved lines, the head also very stylized, with a flat top, is astonishing by the size of the eye sockets. The legs are short, mounted on wide feet. Wood with a very nice patina of use, cracks and missing parts visible on the pictures, cord around the neck. Old label on the back of the base indicating "Zandé Zaïre". Height : 20.5 cm
